The Duke's River Walk Loop

Saturday 18 February 2017
10:30 to 15:30

Today we shall walk along the Duke of Northumberland River from Kneller Gardens to the Thames at Isleworth, continuing up the tidal Thames to Twickenham and then join the River Crane to return to Kneller Gardens.  We shall stop for lunch at the London Apprentice along the way. At this point, those only wanting to see the Duke’s River can return to Twickenham via the 267 bus.

This is the first time FORCE will have completed this Three River Walk, and we are very keen to see it better known and used by local people as a 12 km walking and cycling loop.  Along the way we shall take in the locale and features of interest, with informed Trustees noting sights such as the old mills, breweries, rugby stadia and great houses of the area. We shall also be pointing out local wildlife and interesting flora along each of the three rivers.  It is a great way to get out and about learning a little as you go  We are a very sociable group and look forward to meeting you.

Please wear suitable outdoor attire for the weather that day and  sturdy footwear for outdoor paths.  This walk is organised by FORCE as part of a series of walks and talks along the Duke of Northumberland's River and local area.
