River Crane Walks, Source to Thames Part 2 : From Bulls Bridge to Hanworth Road

Saturday 01 July 2017
10:00 to 13:30

Source to ThamesFORCE runs a series of three walks every year along the River Crane from it's source in Hillingdon to Isleworth where it enters the Thames.  This second walk will start at Tesco Bus Station, Bulls Bridge Industrial Estate, Hayes Road, Hounslow at 10.00 and end at Hanworth Road in Twickenham around 1.30pm.

We shall walk along the River Crane for around 7km, taking in Cranford Park and skirting Heathrow Airport before travelling through Donkey Woods, Brazil Mill Woods and Pevensey Nature Reserve.  The route follows the river throughout and reveals a remarkable environmental and historically interesting landscape corridor through urban west London.  Trustees from FORCE will be guiding the walk and pointing out areas and sights of particular interest.  We are a very sociable group and look forward to meeting you.

Please bring refreshments and drinks for yourself as there is little along the way.  If you prefer to leave the walk early, Hatton Cross makes an exit point. As we shall be walking over varied terrain and some of the ground may be muddy wear appropriate attire and footwear, plus suncream if the weather is warm.  The event is free but registering is essential...
