Friends of the River Crane Environment

Today we shall be doing some general maintenance on the hedge by allotments such as tree lifting, scrub removal, and mulching new plants to improve the look of the park.  There are lots of jobs to do so we hope you can come along and join us.   We shall be woodchipping paths to make walking in wet weather easier, and removing ivy from fruit trees so they can flourish. There will even be some river clean-up both downstream and upstream, and tidying up riverbank by the bench.

There is plenty for all to do so if you have an hour or two to share, please join us. Do wear sturdy footwear and water proof clothing if it looks like rain.  We have gloves and equipment so just bring yourselves.  We also provide hot drinks, biscuits for breaks and maybe even homemade cakes if we are lucky !
