Fish of the River Crane

Come along to the Shot Tower in Crane Park for an enjoyable evening learning about the fish species of the River Crane. Senior Conservation Officer, Tom White will teach you how to identify each species found in the river and where to find them. 

 

The evening will begin with a classroom based fish ID session at The Shot Tower, followed by a fish spotting walk around Crane Park Island. By the time you are finished you will be able to tell your bream from your barbel and your rudd from your roach!

 

Please come along with sturdy footwear and in clothing suitable for the weather on the day. Booking here is essential..

 

This event is part of a joint project between London Wildlife Trust and the Friends of the River Crane Environment to increase the knowledge and understanding of the River Crane and its wildlife and history. It has been funded by Richmond Civic Pride Awards.
