Butterfly Walk

Wednesday 24 July 2019
10:30 to 12:00

WT ButterfliesCome along to Mereway Nature Park beside the River Crane for a fun morning learning about butterflies. This event specifically arranged to help you take part in the Big Butterfly Count which takes place between 20th July and 12th August. We shall identify butterflies in our local area so you can download the Big Butterfly Chart to bring along on the day.

This walk is one of the FORCE Family Challenge activities so bring your challenge card to collect your stamp !  For those who haven't signed up yet, just click here to join in and start collecting stamps for the FORCE Challenge water vole badge !

Butterflies don't like wet and windy weather but if the weather is bad on the day the walk will still go ahead highlighting where they are located and interesting facts about them. Our facebook page will have the latest updates.  Please come along with sturdy footwear, and in clothing suitable for the weather on that day. Also bring water and suncream as we hope it will be a glorious sunny day ! Booking is essential as numbers are limited.   We look forward to seeing you.

Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
