Volunteer Sunday - Pevensey Road Nature Reserve

Sunday 08 March 2020
10:30 to 16:00

The location of this Volunteer Sunday is to be at  Pevensey Road nature reserve off the Hanworth Road (A314) near the South West Middlesex (Hanworth) Crematorium.  We shall meet at the owl bench which is a short walk from the main road.  We will be undertaking some of these jobs depending on the weather and conditions and will match the activities to your ability or skills with jobs, big and small.

  • woodchipping paths
  • woodland management
  • dead hedging
  • planting marginal and wetland plants
  • clearing overgrown vegetation
  • river clearance
  • picking up litter.

FORCE greatly appreciate your help in maintaining this local environment for us all as there is always plenty to do.

If you only have an hour do come along, likewise if you want to spend all day with us. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear as some areas may be muddy.  In fact parts of Little Park are very wet and muddy.  Please wear wellingtons if possible.

We have a lunch break about 12.30 so bring sandwiches or snack for yourself, whilst FORCE brings hot drinks and biscuits to share.  Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  If you are new to volunteering with us please can you fill in our welfare form in advance here  Thank you for helping !
