Balsam Bash morning at Crane Park
Sunday 13 June 2021
10:30 to 12:45
Today is the popular Balsam Bash, when we removed the invasive Himalayan Balsam along the banks of the River Crane. The Volunteer Sunday is going to be held at Crane Park Reed Island near Hospital Bridge Roundabout. We shall meet at the Kingfisher Bench just south of the roundabout intersection, past the college playing fields with the Great Chertsey Road (A316). This part of the park is known as Lincoln Field.
FORCE would greatly appreciate your help in maintaining this local environment for us all as there is always plenty to do. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions we have a restricted number of places so booking is essential using this link and only attend if you have received a response from us. Otherwise we may regretfully have to turn you away on the day. There is both a morning and afternoon event too so if you would like to stay all day then just book both sessions (see other listing).
Kindly fill in our welfare form in advance. Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Some areas may be muddy so wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the weather on that day. The equipment will have been disinfected but do bring your own working gloves. If you have booked morning and afternoon sessions also bring a snack and drink for yourself. Thank you for helping !
