Friends of the River Crane Environment

Today we shall be walking along the Duke of Northumberland River from where it branches from the River Crane to where it flows into the River Thames at Isleworth.  This will be a lovely autumn walk taking in the local sights, looking for wildlife along the river banks and discussing the history of the man-made river. There's a look at where a brewery used to be sited !

The walk will meet at Kneller Pavilion and proceed to the Kingfisher Bridge between Kneller Gardens and Mereway Nature Park, Twickenham and will be led by FORCE Trustees who will point out old industrial workings along the riverbanks, ecology and sights of particular interest. There is an option to finish off at one of the local pubs having your lunch overlooking the Thames.  The event is free but registration here is essential so we can know how many folk to expect.  

Please come along with sturdy footwear, and in clothing suitable for the weather on that day.  Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We are a very sociable group and look forward to meeting you.
