Friends of the River Crane Environment

Come along to the River Crane for a fun morning learning about butterflies. We shall be looking for and identifing butterflies in our local area so please can you download the Big Butterfly Chart to bring along on the day. Over 107,000 citizen scientists took part in the Big Butterfly Count in 2021, submitting 152,039 counts of butterflies and day-flying moths from across the UK. It is arranged to be a fun morning for the family

Butterflies don't like wet and windy weather but if the weather is bad on the day the walk will still go ahead highlighting where they are located and interesting facts about them.  Please come along with sturdy footwear, and in clothing suitable for the weather on that day.
