Friends of the River Crane Environment

The location of this Volunteer Sunday is at Mereway Nature Reserve, meeting at the old outdoor classroom in the reserve. Everybody is welcome to join us. We always have plenty of jobs for all ages and skills such as : 

• Woodchipping paths
• Litterpicking
• maintaining hedges

FORCE would greatly appreciate your help in maintaining this local environment for us all as there is always plenty to do. We have a restricted number of places so booking here is essential, and will be open about a week beforehand. To join us just walk along Mereway & turn right at the end for the reserve, or cross over the bridge from Kneller Gardens & turn left, or from Craneofred Playing Fields under the railway arch.

If this is your first time volunteering with us kindly fill in our welfare form in advance. Due to safeguarding needs all children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We recommend you wear tough outdoor clothes and footwear with long trousers and a long sleeved top. If you can stay all day please bring along some lunch and something to drink. Or come along for an hour or two to see what we get up to !
